Welcome to WWPA's Lumber Basics web site! This site is designed to help individuals understand how Western lumber is produced, graded and used in today's marketplace.
The information presented in this site is featured in the Association's Lumber Basics CD. Also included in this site are links to additional information on Western lumber that can be found on WWPA's main web site at www.wwpa.org.

If you wish to review just one section at a time, go to the Sections menu.
